Fauzy to make Lotus test debut
Lotus has revealed that the team's test and reserve driver Fairuz Fauzy will be honoured with driving duties as the Anglo-Malaysian squad begin their testing programme at Jerez on Wednesday.
Fauzy was given the opportunity to shakedown the T127 at Silverstone last week before the car's official launch in London on Friday.
But Lotus has now confirmed that the Malaysian driver - who last officially tested a Formula 1 car for Spyker in 2007 - will be in charge of the new car for the first day of the four-day test.
The team's 2010 race drivers, Heikki Kovalainen and Jarno Trulli, will then take over driving duties, the former on Thursday and Friday before Trulli wraps up the test on Saturday.
Rain is forecast for all four days of testing at the Spanish circuit, so running is likely to be limited once again.
