Red Bull and Ferrari safe
Williams has withdrawn its appeal directed at the Ferrari F60 and Red Bull RB5 as the day comes to a close in Melbourne.
The stewards of the meeting had been investigating the complaint, concerning the aerodynamic treatment at the front of the sidepods on both cars, for some time before the team made the decision to back-track on the initial decision.
The qualifying results have now been ratified, with the Toyota duo of Timo Glock and Jarno Trulli now occupying the back row after their disqualification for a wing infringement.
