Practice 2: Rosberg remains on top
Nico Rosberg capped a superb opening day of the 2009 season for Williams by topping the times again in second practice at Albert Park.
The young German moved to the top one-third of the way through the 90-minute session and was never headed for the remainder of the afternoon.
His closest challenger was Rubens Barrichello, who provided further evidence of the BGP 001’s pace and finished just 0.1s adrift.
Jarno Trulli was a strong third quickest for Toyota ahead of Red Bull Racing’s Mark Webber, who put a difficult first session behind him.
Jenson Button was fifth in the other Brawn car with Timo Glock completing the top six in the second Toyota.
