It was 2:17pm on Sunday, May 1st 1994 that he was involved in a horrific accident at the Tamburello curve on the Imola circuit, during the San Marino Grand Prix.
At 6:40pm on the same day, the legend that was Ayrton Senna was pronounced dead at Bologna Hospital.
Today is 15 years since that horrific day that changed the world of motorsport forever.
Senna was a popular man, one who was very spiritual, passionate and dedicated, and could only be spoken highly of. He made many enemies, but ultimately many more friends and fans.
He was firm in his beliefs, and stood up for what was right. His legacy will live on throughout motorsport for years to come. Not a soul has died in Formula One since his passing, proving what an incredible presence he had.
We at Turn Two believe Senna was one of the greatest talents ever to grace the sport, and think that he should forever be recognised for his skill, determination and courage.
We are proud to today carry a humble memorial to the late, great Ayrton Senna.
