Merry Christmas from Turn Two! 610x

We have reached the most 'dead' part of the year for motorsport. There is no testing, no racing, not even any rumours floating around - they have all been forgotten. That can only mean one thing: it's Christmas!

And to celebrate, we at Turn Two will reflect on what a truly unforgettable year this has been. Over the next few days in the run-up to Christmas, we will be reminding ourselves of a year that brought us more action, better overtaking, bigger controversies and the most unpredictable races we have seen for a long time!

Formula One brought us shock decisions, dubious penalties, seven race winners and a new World Champion. The British Touring Car Championship showed the making of a star, the dominance of another and the demise of a third. From MotoGP we were presented with confirmation that we have the greatest rider of all time on our hands, plus some incredible races and some very special new talents. And they are just three of a whole range of motorsport series that together made 2008 one of the best years in the history of motor racing.

And what should you expect in the coming days? We will be assessing every angle of speculation in our top 3 sports, as well as sharing our opinion on the ongoing rumours about Honda, about their presence in MotoGP and their lack of in Formula 1. This truly is the best possible end to one of the best possible years.

And it doesn't stop at Christmas. We will be previewing the 2009 season in the build-up to the new year, and January will bring in-depth reports from every car and bike launch, and of course, we will be making or killing those rumours.

There is no better place to be than Turn Two this Christmas and New Year!

What are our plans after all the Christmas hype has died down? Well, as always, we will be updating our site and its features, and 2009 will be bringing us a new domain, and some fantastic new elements in the forum and site. Make sure you stick with Turn Two throughout the new year to find out what we have in store.

In the meantime, have a very merry Christmas, and a happy new year!
